RurAL CAP Launches New AmeriCorps Program
The Middle School Partnership Project is now recruiting AmeriCorps Members based in the following middle school communities:
• Hooper Bay
• Mountain Village
• St. Michael
• Stebbins
• Anchorage (Mears)
• Eagle River (Gruening)
• Fairbanks (Ryan)
• North Pole
Serving as “Partnership Liaisons” based at the middle school or other community organization, AmeriCorps
Members identify and implement ways to improve the student success through community conversations and
involvement of parents, teachers, students and community partners. Members serve as community educators,
school partnership organizers, volunteer leaders, student mentors and role models.
