Annual ATCEM Awards

Each year RurAL CAP polls communities statewide to find citizens dedicated to improving their community’s environmental health.  Nominations pour in from tribal councils, village administrators, environmental program staff, and health organizations with amazing stories of individuals who display dedication and passion to protect the environmental health of their communities.  They are honored with awards at the Alaska Tribal Conference on Environmental Management (ATCEM) in Anchorage each Fall. This year, the awards are sponsored by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) and the Environmental Protection Agency.  To see the nominees from the 13th Annual Conference in 2007 and previous years, go to bottom of this page. For more information about the awards, contact www.ANTHC.org.
