BRISTOL BAY BOROUGH RECYCLING LOCATIONS
The Borough also operates two landfills. The one at South Naknekis open at all times.
The landfill between Naknek and King Salmon is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am until 6 pm.
This landfill is located about five miles east of Naknek, just off of the Alaska Peninsula Highway. It uses a bailer to reduce waste volume. Used oil and lead acid batteries are recycled. Telephone calls to the Naknek-King Salmon landfill should be to 246-4233.

- #1 Plastic Bottles - all size pop bottles clear or tinted; labels are okay, rings are okay - NO Lids, remove all lids.
- #1 Plastic NOW includes clear plastic fruit and vegetable containers. They must say #1 on the bottom.
- #2 Plastic Jugs - White/cloudy jugs; ½ gallon and gallon milk jugs, gallon water jugs - NO lids, remove all lids
- #2 PLASTIC BOTTLES (no bottle with hazardous materials like oil or drain cleaner). Remove all lids.
- New item-bring in those plastic grocery sacks. There will be a new bin for them.
