AmeriCorps Week is Coming!
The first-ever AmeriCorps Week is May 13-20, 2007 and will mark a historic milestone as the 500,000 AmeriCorps member will take the pledge to "get things done for America." What can you do? Stage a special event like an open house, service project, or give a presentation about your AmeriCorps experience to a school or community group.
Garden Crusader Awards Nominations Sought
The Garden Crusader Awards were created by the Gardener's Supply Company to honor individuals who are improving the world through gardening. These enthusiastic men and women are planting trees and flowers, growing food, creating new green spaces, and teaching their friends and neighbors about the rewards of gardening. If you would like to nominate someone for a 2007 Garden Crusader Award, see the Gardener's Supply website for instructions. Deadline is June 1, 2007.
