Kick Butts Events

Organizing the Kick Butts Day event was challenging. I had to schedule the time after the students were through taking their state assessment tests which was at 8:00 pm. I was unsure about how many people would show up. Although I was very thankful to our ICWA who worked to assist me by encouraging local people to attend the event and learn about how tobacco affects our health. Being flexible made the event a success. Everyone enjoyed good food and funny stories about how they experienced the first time they tried cigarettes and iqmik chew tobacco. Everyone enjoyed planting new seeds and anticipating to enjoy fresh vegetables when they harvest their produce in the fall.
